Born in Yugoslavia Aleksander John became a resident of the London's Notting Hill in the early 70's. He has had hits in his homeland in the mid 70's and his third U.K. album 1978's 'Bittersweet songs' was recorded and produced by Martyn Ford at the famous Abbey Road studio's. The album also included an Elton John/Bernie Taupin song called 'Salvation' and backing musicians Bryn Hawoth and Kokomo. Mike Edmunds
