If A Child
Before Petra and before the Ressurection Band, there was the "e" band, one of the very first hard rock Christian bands. It featured a very young talented lead vocalist named Greg X Volz, who later went on to be the frontman for Petra during their heyday years of the 80's. Although a few unofficial concert recordings exist, the band never recorded an album and their only recorded material (above clips) was featured on the 1973 rock musical Because I Am.From Greg Volz - "The e stands for Emmanuel. There were 5 members and it's the 5th letter in the alphabet and stands for Emmanuel, which means, 'God with us' It's the name He selected."
