Bill Gaither Trio
Danny, Gloria & Bill

While newly converted hippies grooved to the rock sounds of Agape, Love Song, Harvest Flight and Resurrection Band, the 40 and 50-something's enjoyed the musical output of Bill and Gloria Gaither. Birthed in the late 60's and combining gospel, contemporary and worship styles, their impact on Christian music of the 70's cannot be omitted and many of their songs have become classics that now are included in most hymnals. Songs such as Something Beautiful, Because He Lives, Let's Just Praise the Lord and I Am A Promise have become standards the world over. Hey, I was only a teenager when I first saw them in concert and have always enjoyed their music! Amazingly, the albums here only represent their 70's output - as they still continue to perform and minister to thousands today as the Gaither Vocal Band. DH
