Former member of country/rock group Gentle Faith. Blues rocker Darrell Mansfield's debut has its moments but is pretty tame compared to what he would later release. "That's Alright" was a big concert favorite and we get a taste of his legendary harmonica playing here and there. Unfortunately, at times he almost sings like BJ Thomas here instead of his usual gravely vocals, I guess to get some radio play. Great drumming by John Mehler, ex-Love Song. His next release, Get Ready (1980), would be the definitive Mansfield sound. Back cover shows a clean-shaven Darrell with a short haircut -- gasp!! DH
